Exquisite - Donna Salazar Designs

Hi everyone!  I hope you are having a wonderful Christmas if you celebrate.  I love the relaxed 'family time' pace of this time of year and have spent the day with my hubby and son, parents and sister, brother in law, niece and nephews plus our 'adopted' family members - making this an extra special Christmas Day!

I was supposed to be creating a commission last weekend... but I really wanted to just play, so I created this instead.  I so love these Botanique and Spring in Bloom papers, they simply make me happy while I'm creating with them.

This is the daughter of my friend Nancy, isn't she just beautiful {just like her mamma}!  These papers were perfect for her.

I've created some flowers from Donna's Rose Creations and Grand Peony dies using some plain cardstock and have just added some Jasmine Mix'd Media Inx to the edges and sprayed them with water, which then blends through and softens the edges of the petals.

I've distressed the edges of the small doily punched edges, I've seen some work Shona Keehn did where she gave the edges some wonderful roughing up and loved it, so I put them through my Distrezz-It-All and am so happy with the effect {thanks Shona}!

I've added some Dusty Attic Wattle Blossoms which I have inked with Jasmine Mix'd Media Inx and then embossed with Jasmine Mix'd Media Inx Embossing.  I've done the same for the mini word 'exquisite' which makes a perfect title.

I've also used some silver elements from Green Tara to accent the gorgeous glitter on the paper - silver hearts from some silver diamante trim, some round diamante trim, the swarovzski crystals in the satin flowers as well as a couple of other silver flowers.
