Sweet Child - Tomorrow's Memories

Hi again lovelies!  I have a layout to share with you that I've created for Tomorrow's Memories.  Today I'm showcasing some of the gorgeous new butterfly charms that are in stock now, as well as some new chipboard from My Creative Wings.

The beautiful young lady here is the daughter of my friend Natasha.  She's such a sweet child and growing so fast as they do.  She's changed so much already from the time I met her, I imagine she'll be so different again by the time I get back to the states!

So, there were 3 different butterfly charms used for this layout.  I adore them all but the twin layer one is stunning.  I treated the chipboard swirls and the charms similarly.  Both were spray painted with flat white acrylic paint and let dry.  Next they were coloured with alcohol ink.  On the chipboard I blended the colours together with a blender pen, whereas the metal I gave it another spray of paint, which toned the colours down.  As a final touch I dusted them all with glitter.

The "sweet" chippy is from Dusty Attic, this one was treated a little differently as I wanted the colours to stand out a little more from the subtle background.  It was spray painted white, then inked with Stormy & Peridot Mix'd Media Inx.  This too was dusted with glitter once dry.

The lovely flowers were dry brushed with white gesso to tone them back a little more, creating a lovely pastel bouquet!

Thanks for visiting today.

You can see this layout in at Tomorrow's Memories.  They also always have fabulous stocks of charms, in all kinds of designs... so there will be something that is just right for your project.

10 Years - Australian Scrapbook Ideas #29

A layout close to my heart of 3 beautiful women who own and run the place I call my second home - Clori, Vicki and Jo of Tomorrow's Memories.

The stamping in the background was done with a watercolour technique... I love the muted effect.  There's a how to in the magazine!

I've hand-dyed the trim to match the inks and papers here... so easy to do with the inks and colour sprays available on the market these days.   I have to confess with the flowers... they have been recycled from a layout that was damaged, I think they look much better here though, sometimes things happen for a reason!

Look at those gorgeous women... they all have hearts of gold and I am truly blessed to know each of them!

 Thanks for stopping by today!!

Wonderful Day - Australian Scrapbook Ideas, #29

My article this month for ASI was all about Background Stamping!  Lotsa messy fun! This one was simple technique layering gesso, stamping and colour sprays.

I love this pic of my kids {well one's borrowed but I still call her mine LOL}.  And the good thing is since there's a girl in the pic, I could use flowers!!

You can find step-by-step instructions for this one, as always, in the Australian Scrapbook Ideas Magazine.

Thanks for stopping by today!!

Fly Butterfly OTP - Kaisercraft "Rustic Harmony"

More Rustic Harmony deliciousness... I so love this range!  I've always wanted to decorate one of these 3D Wall Art pieces and this range was just right to create the softness I wanted for the Butterfly.

I sprayed some apricot and white colour onto White Paper Blooms to get the softer colour I needed, with the Coral Mini Paper Blooms giving that cute little pop of extra colour!

The Butterfly itself was coated with texture crackle paste, then sprayed with some fabulous shimmer colour, edges inked with Kaisercraft Ink and coated afterwards with Crackle Accents to seal it all {and add even more cracks}.  I've then added some sequins to add a little more detail.

I'll have one more share in a couple of hours for you, or you could pop on over to the Kaisercraft blog for more Rustic Harmony inspiration - HERE.

Meeka Layout - Kaisercraft "Rustic Harmony"

Today on the Kaisercraft blog are the reveals for their totally delicious, romantic and beautiful Rustic Harmony collection.  There's no hiding that I am in love with this range!

This little kitty cat here is our newest family member... she adopted us after being trapped in our roof, on 2 separate occasions.  The second time I got her out {after the 2nd big storm that came through} she was skinny and obviously hadn't found home.  She had no collar and isn't desexed... so she's off to the vet next week for see if someone microchipped her.  If not it looks like she's ours!  Kel has named her Meeka and she's a snobby young lady, but she's also very very cute!

Anyways... back to the layout!

Ok, that's a big closeup!  I stamped some butterflies from the co-ordinating Clear Stamp set with black ink, cut them out and then sprayed them with some colour.

I've also used the same colour spray to alter the colour of some white paper blooms.  The Paper Blooms hold the wetness well and dry really quick {especially with the help of a heat tool LOL}

I've also used some of Kaisercraft's washi tape to add some subtle pattern around the photo.

There's more wonderful creations on the Kaisercraft Blog - HERE and I'll have more to share here soon!

December Daily Journal & Folder - Kaisercraft "Basecoat Christmas"

Kaisercraft's Basecoat Christmas range is perfect for so many Christmas things.  It ties in beautifully with other papers as well as creates stunning Off the Page, Cards and Layouts on it's own!  Pop on over the the Kaisercraft blog for more fabulous ideas!

I thought I'd create a cute little Journal Book with a Folder Cover... I think it would be perfect for a mini December Daily journal.

All the paper needed was some simple embellishment, and the jute twine bows and white paper blooms were just right!

The little folder will hold the journal book one side, with room to tuck cards or other memorabilia in the other side.

Thanks for stopping by... I'll have more creations to share soon!

Christmas Card - Kaisercraft "Basecoat Christmas"

Hi everyone!  I have a Christmas Card to share with you today... a cute blingy one!

I have used papers from Kaisercraft's 6 1/2" Basecoat Christmas Paper Pad for this one... it has a fabulous glittering sheet, among all the other cool papers!!   So being the bower bird I am who loves all things pretty and glittery, I had to create a card with it as the background!

I've added some of the large rhinestones to really add the bling impact!  I've not used these for a while, so so glad I had them still, they were just perfect!
Pop back in later, I'll have a cute little Journal Book and Folder to share with you.

Sunshine Card - Kaisercraft "Tropical Punch"

And one more little project using the Tropical Punch collection... a cute simple little card.  With that explosion of colour it didn't need much embellishment wise to make it pop.  The feel of the range reminds me of old fashioned picnics, with mum's pineapple tart she used to make us when we were kids!

I've used the co-ordinating Pineapple Crush Captured Moments Pocket Cards for the background, making these a versatile addition to the collection.

There's more fabulous creations to see by the Kaisercraft DT over on their Blog - HERE

Happy Birthday Sunshine - Kaisercraft "Tropical Punch"

OK.. now how cute and funky is the new Tropical Punch Collection from Kaisercraft!  It's bright and fun, a little bit edgy, a little bit shabby... love it!!

Love this cute pic of Mel with her little birthday cake she had at Tomorrow's Memories... it looks like she's peeking out from under the banner!

This range needed me to create a little ruffle... or two!

And it needed a fabulously bright bouquet of Paper Blooms...

Love it!
