Time flies...

far too quickly doesn't it? I'm nearly at the end of my holidays and have done nothing, am desperately wishing I didn't have to go back to work and am trying to claw myself out of a rut {I hate ruts, they really should be banned}. And so, I am constantly trying to remind myself of just how much I have to be grateful for and how truly blessed I am:

  • I have a husband who adores me and our child, who is happy to take a part-time cleaning job just to get some money in while waiting for something better to open up.
  • I have a handful of great friends that I can count on to be there for me through thick and thin, who I trust and love with all my heart... who ask after me if they've not spoken to or seen me for a few days, friends that pick up if I'm a bit off, before I even realise it myself some days.
  • Even though 'structured' learning is a struggle for Kel, he is smart and has so much love, empathy and compassion... as well as his constant entertainment factor, not to mention the hugs, I so love his hugs!
  • I am employed well at a company that respects me and am lucky enough to enjoy my job {'cept when I have to go back after almost a month off}.
So... I'm blessed with wonderful gifts of love, and it feels so much better to write it down and put it out there {plus Kel just came and gave me a big hug good morning}.

I have much to do today, washing so I have some fresh clean clothes for work on Wednesday and so Kel has uniforms for school tomorrow... plus I have to find my scrap room. It's become a mini office/dumping ground as well and could do with a spring clean {in winter yes}, think I might moved the dining room back into the kitchen as well, I much prefer to eat in there for some reason. I think a tidy up and move around will do me a world of good... after lunch, I need to wake up first!

I have managed to do some scrapping the last couple of days though... phew, I had thought my mojo had gone walkabout again, cheeky thing that it is! One thing we did do on my holidays was have our god-daughter Courtney come stay for a week, such a wonderful treat. To have her back in our lives for such a short time made our family feel complete again. I mean we are complete, but when she is here with us... it just all fits so well. Reminds us how much we miss her and her mum being around the corner instead of 800km away!

So the scrapping...

I had Scrappi Dais yesterday at Lisa's, was a great day... was only myself, Lisa and Karen there this time though... I scrapped up a storm, was so pleased! The fact I was there until 11pm has nothing to do with it I'm sure! Such a relief for the mojo to be released again... even if I did have the wonderful help of some sketches! I'm definitely thinking I need human company to scrap these days though!

Ahhh... to scrap...

... is a wonderful thing!

I was wondering where my mojo went, have been in a bit of a scrapless funk most of this week. The couch and I became wonderful friends!

I created this... sweet and pretty and girly, needs some paint to shabby it up a bit though!

A New Friend, LO Sketch Design: Pagemaps

And then went to Scraptivate Friday night and scrapped with my dear Dizz and Jen, laughed until my cheeks hurt, got my act together and created... ahhh bliss; flourishes flowers bling, and a wee bit of glorious grunge, all a scrap girl needs!

These are Fun Days, LO Sketch Design: Pagemaps, with a Mistra Twist

A Month!!!

I can't believe I've not updated for a month... someone prod me next time, or does no-one read and I've been talking to myself all this time, wouldn't be the first time LOL!

Okies... so I have to share:

Some more 52Q tags...

And some LO's:

And a photo:

Injidup Beach

This was taken at our girls weekend away down south, I was surprised with it as a pressie for my 40th, and then surprised down there with a stand of cupcakes and a mini album made by the girls!! Was a wonderful, relaxed easy-going weekend... ahhhh to be back there!

And another photo:

This is myself and Lisa at her 30th {oops: make that 31st, I'm being blonde} b'day party... pimps and prostitutes, we had to be the pimps. Was a really fun night!

So what else has happened? I've been working like a dog, but am now on 3.5 weeks long service leave {halleujah, thank god and all that}, Darren was made redundant {yes, I'm still quite ticked of at work over that} and Kellan is struggling at school... so we are making some big changes soon, just not too sure what they will all be. However, after a mini meltdown, the relaxing weekend away and some good heart to hearts with a couple of close friends, I'm ready to tackle whatever comes our way.

Until next time, take care of you.

52Q Up to Date!!

Finally I am up to date with these tags {well I've not done the journaling yet}... gotta say, I still am loving doing them, they've been a wonderful journey for me, creatively as well as personally. I think I'll leave them build up and do them once a month... you just get into a whole messy groove and go with it that way!!

I was originally binding them with a ball/chain thingy, already I can't fit these on there! So instead, since I've not numbered most of them, I'm going to leave them loose and put them in my gorgeous Audrey Hepburn bag until I can find an old fashioned school port and alter that to use for it. I think that way it will encourage people to touch and read... I like that idea.

Finally got another set of ATC's done. Very simple as the topic threw me. So here they are: "Ancient" - Statues Theme. Was fun getting back to them though... might have to do some more just for fun.

Kel comes home this afternoon from camp, can't wait to see him and hear all about it, I really hope he had a great time. The routine here at home didn't change a lot really, but then I've been home on holidays, everything was different dynamics so there wasn't much of a routine to follow. Also he's older now and does a lot of his own things already, has been funny however that I kept going to check on him at bedtime!!

Other than that... today I think will be spent scrapping! I have some projects to finish so will play with them. Hopefully it works because I'm still in the messy mood... if not I'll create more backgrounds etc. Tomorrow I'm up off to Northam to have lunch with my sister... KID FREE woohoo!! Then on the weekend Dizz and maybe Chrissie are coming to play... more wooohooo!!

Until next time, take care of you.

Holiday Mode...

It's so cold here tonight... we really need to get some wood in for the heater!

I'm now on holidays until June 4th, I'm truly needing this break... I feel like work has eaten me up and spat out a shell. Karen was coming this week but it seems {unless we get a miracle} that now she isn't... she just needs to be home this week . BUT I have holidays again in July so we'll be able to reschedule our get together if the miracle doesn't eventuate... ever the optimist I am!

Kel's at school camp this week, he was so excited this morning to be dropped off ready to go, he was nearly turning himself inside out talking to his teacher. I hope he has the best time. I'm also really glad I spent money we couldn't really afford on a really thick warm coat for him... it's colder than I think they'd planned it would be!!

Today I went to Lisa's... was originally going to pop over for coffee and see each other IRL which we rarely get to do, but it ended up a scrap session... as it always does LOL! I worked on some of my 52Q Tags and showed Lisa some mixed media techniques, talk about a duck to water... she was off and running and created much beauty!!

Here's the tags I've done... just the fronts, need to work on answers for the backs.

This last weekend was another member run CC @ SW... much fun and awesome challenges... who needs a DT with these gals! I've only done 3 so far, but we have all week to finish them.

This was FUN... Heather "Mosaic Pics" challenge... I unearthed 21? pics here and fitted them onto a double LO!! Wasn't my baby sooo cute.

Ange's Pamper Me Challenge:

Kim's Word Puzzle Challenge... this was harder than it looked to try and fit it all on there, but lots of fun!

Tomorrow is a stay at home and chillax day... the whole house to myself all day... what do people with hubbies at work and no kids do all day? Guess I'll find out hey!!

Until next time, take care of you.

LO shares... about time!

Sorry it's been so long... had a few busy days... a few to many down days... lots of reading days, not much scrapping days! LOL... all sorts of things!

Finally have some LO's to share with you all:

SBS 7 for SW. Was trying some new bits {as in trying to be a little more eclectic in my choices}

Another SBS for SW I've done...

And another one... wow I did have some updating to do!

A quick one protesting this stupid woman feeding all the feral cats in the area... no wonder they don't go away! This is only about 1/2 the cats that were out on this day... not happy Jan!!

Me... being 40; no it didn't hurt... I still don't feel 40, maybe it will hurt later!

Little Lily, she looks so sweet and ladylike here...

Dags and his best mate.

And that's about it! I'm 4 weeks behind on my 52Q Tags, best get a wiggle on with them... and today have just finished the next SBS for SW girls, which I'll share over at MaDscrapping when it's done... and yes I'll get the others loaded soon as well. Just been slack lately, but hey... I'm allowed! LOL!!

Until next time, take care of you.
