[i love your] Laugh

I love these pics of Kel... posing for me in his new hat, mainly I just love that's he's happy to muck around in front of the camera for me.  So I have heaps of these printed, with different preset filters, and some plain ones... they'll keep me in boy pics for a while!

Kel turned 14 yesterday... how on earth did that happen, that I have a 14yo in the house, scary times ahead as we wait for the inevitable puberty to kick in, but we might have another year of peace yet!

Scrapping teen boys I find so much harder than girls... feminine LO's are easy: flowers, bling, lace, pretties - heaps of things to fill and decorate and play with.  But boys, there's just not much out there - well TEEN boy stuff that is.  This kid would never pose for me again if I stuck a dinosaur chippy or something on there and heaven forbid I use a flower!  Cogs are 'allowed' as are the Tribal Swirls... stars I can get away with, but I struggle with finding other things.  Thank goodness for Dusty Attic though - all sorts of Cogs, Tribal Swirls {my teen boy godsend}, barb wire, chicken wire, fences, fleur de lis, chains, skulls... Jen has sure made scrapping my finicky teen so much easier!

Happy New Year by the way... 2011 here we are, hope your year is filled with happiness and love.

Take care of you.

Hmmm...

You know... a weekend has gone by and I have nothing creative to show you, that feels odd!! So how about some pics from the weekend:

Kel, with his favourite food on the planet - PIE!!

James St Antique Strip, Guildford

Silly Dove, our backyard.

My Coco Bunny... she's all growned up!!

I did create last weekend, I did my sample for my upcoming 1st class at Tomorrow's Memories on 10th July... it looks good... but I can't show you {LOL... yes Tina, there I did it - the "I can't show you" clause}! But it's at TM's if you want to pop in and see!! Tina was my guinea pig and we ran through it together so I could work out how long, what to say, see if we both stuffed up in the wrong spots so I could find outs to fix it... get a wee bit of teaching practice happening, was fun!! I made a sample for Tomorrow's Memories with the new Collections yummies... I'm really happy with my creation, but forgot to take a pic before I gave it to the shop... doh! And I've made a Dusty Attic yummy as well but it just needs a bird to be finished and I don't have the right bird yet. So all this creativity and no pics... sacriledge I reckon!

This weekend I should have Linda learned stuff to show you... woohooo, 'citing!!

Take care of you.

Dream

Mmmm love this kind of Dust!! Love this pic of Kel as well, I love that he lets me take photos freely again... I think he's confident that I won't make him look too dorky in them {sometimes LOL}.

Here I've used another Dusty Attic Tribal design, really love these... need more! They are perfect for teen boy pages, Kel loves them! Dusty also make these cute little words, just the right size for a small title, part of a larger title or even a sub-title, loving them!

The papers here are BoBunny Mama-Razzi, a range I have fallen in love with and definitely need to get more of before they vanish forever, just my colours and style!!

Take care of you.

Saturday Night... do do do dooo do do...

Saturday night I had some lovely friends over to play, I feel so lucky to have these girls in my life! I only scrapped 2 layouts, but that's better than the 1 I did last time I had friends over to play!

Okies... so Rewind:

Saturday morning I went to get the pics from Kel & my date day printed out, and fell in love with one of them... so hot footed it down to Tomorrow's Memories {being my closest LSS that I knew would have the perfect everything} and grabbed some papers and embies to suit the photo {thanks Vicki} and also work in with this challenge:

And here it is:
Where [Do you go when you Daydream]

Not as stunning as my head imagined, but I'm happy with it! I love this pic of Kel... and you can see why I had to go to TM's right away, because while I have boy papers, I don't have soft antiquey bluey/brown boy papers! There's some delish Tim Holtz paper in there, some Glitz Vintage something and Dusty Attic Chipboard. Also some bits I got from Lil Red Rocket made it's way onto there!!

And so, while grabbing perfect bits of PP for the LO, MORE papers jumped into my hands while there - this BoBunny Mama-Razzi Diecut... and a few others from the range. All I can say is - OMG YUMMY!!

This was so simple, the Diecut PP, some TBZ Wrought Iron Flourishes, a Dusty Attic Key Plate, some Ephemera & Collections Butterflies, oh and of course a wee bit of bling!

And so was done the creating! Thanks to Bri & Allie, Tina, Jules & Nes for coming to play with me!!

Today I was shattered, it wasn't an overly shocking late night but I couldn't get going today and have had naps all day while Darren has fluffed about around me... and there's no way I'm admitting that I'm getting too old to handle a late night anymore LOL, but it could be I've had too many late nights the last few weeks... that one I might cope with admitting, I think next weekend will be a quiet one at home.

Take care of you.

Mum / Son Day...

Kel and I had a mum/son date today, we did whatever he wanted. he asked me on Wednesday if I could just take one day off work, for just the 2 of us, how can a mum resist that. So luckily my boss felt the same way and let me have Friday off! So we went and saw How to Train your Dragon, which was a great movie, really loved it. Then we did some shopping and got him some new shoes, tshirt and some shorts/trackies for school. Next was donuts to bring home and lunch to eat... and then a stop at Bells Rapids {not so rapid atm though} for a walk along the riverbank. Was a lovely day, I'm so glad he requested we do this, just he and I nattering on with no rushing here or there... just enjoying one another's company.

The not so rapid Bells Rapids:

don't ask... he's a teenager:

rockin', on the river?:

Take care of you.

3 Angels Scrapping Cyber Crop

I'm having some fun with the 3AS CC Challenges - we've got HEAPS of challenges happening, games too! I am so proud of me, I've actually completed 4 of the challenges, just 1 more to do and I'm up to date until tomorrow's ones are set! I think I must have picked up some mojo at Inspired Crafts last night, phew!! Oh, which brings me to sharing that I went to a crop night with Tina at Inspired Crafts and it was lovely... the owners are gorgeous happy people, so chatty and friendly and helpful. I am amazed though at the different dynamics of different crop groups... the girls at IC are Cricut mad, there were 3 Cricuts there being shown much lovin! But Tina and I had a lovely night and I can't wait for next month's one!

Anyways... here's the LO's I have done so far:

My "Green Day" Title Challenge {thanks to Sarah for the idea}

We've had a rough couple of days in our household... will tell you all about it later, we 're waiting for some good news early in the week and then I will tell the whole story, tragic start to happy ending.{like the positive vibe I'm trying there}. Don't worry, in the scheme of things it's not the end of the world or our health or anything but my hands are too tired to type it all right now... LOL honest... they are struggling to type correctly atm, hmmm although that could be the Mersyndol effect, maybe...

In the meantime, come play with me at 3 Angels Scrapping... scrap play is the best kind of play don't you think!

Take care of you.

Lotsabits...

alrighty... some more creative sharing. Not a huge amount over 2 weeks, but at least there is something. I blame the heat! Yes, I know it's summer and heat happens, but I don't' cope well creatively with it. I think the whole getting stuck with sweat to the table top has something to do with that!

But thankfully I'm also starting to get used to it, taking advantage of the lovely cool mornings we have been blessed with on the weekends.

Here is this weeks DT LO, we got a 'free' week this week to create whatever... so using more yummy Vintage Valentine I did a rare lovey dovey on of Darren and I. Yes, I look shocking... but to me my man looks great, and that's us now!

Click on the pics for a larger image.

This is my current pride and joy. I have wanted to create one of these tile collages for ages. But something more scrappy'fied using things most scrapbookers would have in their stash so that anyone could join in without having to spend a fortune. And then 3AS got in HEAPS of Collections Elements product and I LOVE LOVE LOVE that stuff!! So after studying a few I've seen around the LSS's and getting to touch and drool over Chrissie's one, I created this:

I have created step by step instructions with visuals if you want to make something similar. They are available free to 3AS members, just sign into the forum and you will find a link to the instructions are here.

I've also made this for 3AS... I am having much fun with OTP items lately! I've used one of the stunning Twiddleybitz Acrylic Butterfly Albums and used the words from Love is All, which is off and album from my childhood called The Butterfly Ball and the Grasshoppers Feast. I wish I could find it on CD... I used to sing some of the songs to Kel when he was little {sometimes even now}, would be great for him to hear them with music and real singers!

And so we now go to dead simple! I did this today for the Home & Scrapped Cyber Crop. We had to scrap a photo of our childhood, with journaling!

And this also was for Home & Scrapped CC, one of Heather's Sketches. Started doing some of the pics from my BIL's 40th birthday bash.

Ahhh and this one, I did this as a Step by Step for Home and Scrapped... you can find it here, and I'll get around to loading it to my MaDlyscrapping blog one day this century!

So a few creations happening there... just the mojo isn't flowing the way I want it too atm. That will come in time!

At the end of March I'm off to a scrap retreat in Toodyay with Jules, Chrissie and Lisa. I'm really looking forward to it! Will be so nice for us to sit back, be looked after and relax and scrap and laugh... we've all gone through some bloody rough patches of late, will be good for our souls to experience some light hearted fellowship!

Kel is finally settling into High School. It's been really hard for him. He is so used to routines and schedules, he needs them to cope. And then to be thrown into a new school, with new kids, new routines, new teachers - new absolutely everything was too much for him. He's being picked on because he's the loner and overweight... because he's not like the other kids... he's been punched... he's been lost... he's missed the bus... you name it, it's happened. But with help from the staff there, who have been WONDERFUL... he is getting there and is actually enjoying the learning part. Even if he gets picked on, he still comes home happy and feeling good. He has such a strong will this child of mine. Our whole home routine has had to change to help, he's never had homework and now I see he desperately could have done with it. But with me helping him he's gone from 1/10 in spelling to 10/10, within a week. Proves he's not stupid - just really needs that one on one learning time. So we will get there, together.

Meanwhile... Coco is now 4 months old and full of energy. She makes us laugh and brings us joy - she's a ratbag! A very well loved and spoiled ratbag that needs to start puppy school soon, but she has bought me a very unexpected joy... I'm a 'cat' person, I never thought I could love a dog as much as I do her.

Me... I'm tired! The ups and downs of our lives take their toll, but this too shall pass once I get used to the routines myself. I'm often quiet, a little more reclusive than I have been in the past... but then I have my social outs and abouts as well. I get out to see mum & dad or my sister and the ferals, I see Lisa, Jules, Chrissie here and there, Bri now and then {precious as she is}, as well as my new friend, the delightful Tina. I get to natter online in real time with my wonderful cyber friends at Home and Scrapped, Amy and Heather always there for me, sometimes getting to have a fun chat with Angie and Kerri and so many other wonderful personalities who all continue to surprise me with their love and caring, their humour and advice. I get to be inspired by the girls at 3AS, with their creativity and their love for life. And between all that, I get hugs and "I love you" from Kel, a man who makes me coffee and will do anything I want {if I ask nice}, back scratches and hugs to die for... I'm a really lucky woman and should be more grateful for the blessings I do have instead of worrying over what I don't have or what I want.

And so... I have survived January and February, my 2 shocking months of the year, lets see what glorious wonders March holds for me!

Until next time, take care of you.
