Meeka Layout - Kaisercraft "Rustic Harmony"

Today on the Kaisercraft blog are the reveals for their totally delicious, romantic and beautiful Rustic Harmony collection.  There's no hiding that I am in love with this range!

This little kitty cat here is our newest family member... she adopted us after being trapped in our roof, on 2 separate occasions.  The second time I got her out {after the 2nd big storm that came through} she was skinny and obviously hadn't found home.  She had no collar and isn't desexed... so she's off to the vet next week for see if someone microchipped her.  If not it looks like she's ours!  Kel has named her Meeka and she's a snobby young lady, but she's also very very cute!

Anyways... back to the layout!

Ok, that's a big closeup!  I stamped some butterflies from the co-ordinating Clear Stamp set with black ink, cut them out and then sprayed them with some colour.

I've also used the same colour spray to alter the colour of some white paper blooms.  The Paper Blooms hold the wetness well and dry really quick {especially with the help of a heat tool LOL}

I've also used some of Kaisercraft's washi tape to add some subtle pattern around the photo.

There's more wonderful creations on the Kaisercraft Blog - HERE and I'll have more to share here soon!

Some-days it doesn't...

Isn't it funny how some-days your creative streak just spills out stunning stuff, and then some-days there is nothing... everything you do feels forced and not quite right. Maybe those days we shouldn't scrap, but what do you do when you want to play anyway?!

Well I usually just play... as a friend once told me, not everything I do has to be perfect. LOL, actually I get told that a lot {friends, family... especially mum}... I still don't know WHY it can't be perfect each time though ;-) guess that's still something I need to get 'over'!!

So it keeping with not perfect, but fun to scrap - here is our Coco:

I have been pulling this LO for weeks to scrap and not quite getting anywhere... so I just relaxed, nattered away to Tina, Jen & Mel at Inspired Friday the other week and created, ripped, distressed, painted, dabbed... and made this. And while not perfect, I had fun and it's scrapped.

There is Autumn Leaves, Kaiser & Tim Holtz Papers, Websters Blooms {the last of my treasured stash}, a Prima Flower, Beaded Trim, Dusty Attic Leafy Stems and some gorgeous Crochet Trim sent to me by my friend Heather.

The Leafy Stems were FUN to finish. I have used Adirondack Paint Dabbers {eternal thanks for Evana for getting me well hooked on these, they are the BEST} in Mushroom, Sandal, Aqua & Stream, Stickles in Patina {mmm another new fave colour thanks to Christine} and I think that's about it... the paints were layered and blended and smooshed... ooooh smooshed reminds me of Smooch... and that WILL be the new addiction for finishing my chippies - Smooches! LOL, and finally {back on track now} they were touched with the stickles.

Take care of you.

Hmmm...

You know... a weekend has gone by and I have nothing creative to show you, that feels odd!! So how about some pics from the weekend:

Kel, with his favourite food on the planet - PIE!!

James St Antique Strip, Guildford

Silly Dove, our backyard.

My Coco Bunny... she's all growned up!!

I did create last weekend, I did my sample for my upcoming 1st class at Tomorrow's Memories on 10th July... it looks good... but I can't show you {LOL... yes Tina, there I did it - the "I can't show you" clause}! But it's at TM's if you want to pop in and see!! Tina was my guinea pig and we ran through it together so I could work out how long, what to say, see if we both stuffed up in the wrong spots so I could find outs to fix it... get a wee bit of teaching practice happening, was fun!! I made a sample for Tomorrow's Memories with the new Collections yummies... I'm really happy with my creation, but forgot to take a pic before I gave it to the shop... doh! And I've made a Dusty Attic yummy as well but it just needs a bird to be finished and I don't have the right bird yet. So all this creativity and no pics... sacriledge I reckon!

This weekend I should have Linda learned stuff to show you... woohooo, 'citing!!

Take care of you.

Take care of you.

3 Angels Scrapping Cyber Crop

I'm having some fun with the 3AS CC Challenges - we've got HEAPS of challenges happening, games too! I am so proud of me, I've actually completed 4 of the challenges, just 1 more to do and I'm up to date until tomorrow's ones are set! I think I must have picked up some mojo at Inspired Crafts last night, phew!! Oh, which brings me to sharing that I went to a crop night with Tina at Inspired Crafts and it was lovely... the owners are gorgeous happy people, so chatty and friendly and helpful. I am amazed though at the different dynamics of different crop groups... the girls at IC are Cricut mad, there were 3 Cricuts there being shown much lovin! But Tina and I had a lovely night and I can't wait for next month's one!

Anyways... here's the LO's I have done so far:

We've had a rough couple of days in our household... will tell you all about it later, we 're waiting for some good news early in the week and then I will tell the whole story, tragic start to happy ending.{like the positive vibe I'm trying there}. Don't worry, in the scheme of things it's not the end of the world or our health or anything but my hands are too tired to type it all right now... LOL honest... they are struggling to type correctly atm, hmmm although that could be the Mersyndol effect, maybe...

In the meantime, come play with me at 3 Angels Scrapping... scrap play is the best kind of play don't you think!

Take care of you.

My baby girl...

My baby girl... ok well Kel's baby girl, but she's mine too! Isn't she gorgeous!?! She's just over 4 months old now, barks at all the right sounds {and sometimes the wrongs ones}, loves her toys, us, chew sticks and her dinner and brings me joy each and every day!

I'm not seeing a whole lot of Labrador in her anymore, her shape is more Collie now, being finer... but her coat is shiny and lovely, and changing colour here and there, the blonde is seeping through LOL!

Don't ya just love Dreadlock Ted, somehow this chew toy manages to hold it together, aside from the bad hair days it's having!

Take care of you.

Time flies...

I don't think I have ever seen a month run past me so quickly! It's a shock to me that February is only a day away, where did January go?

I've managed some LO's. I was thinking I've not done many, but there's quite a few here! I think the problem is I've had so much free time... but have done nothing with it. Well if you call keeping house, spending time with the boys and running around after a wild puppy nothing! I've managed to socialise with friends, even had some over here... but have felt a little 'out of it', on the outskirts of things if that makes any sense. LOL probably not... when do I ever make sense! But today I feel lighter... maybe because I scrapped 6 LO's in 1 day and the mojo was flowing well, it's definitely a kind of therapy!

January & February I have discovered in reflection are usually quite self-destructive months for me, no idea why... so this year, no big choices or decisions are being made until March, maybe April! I'm just sitting back and taking each day as it comes and hopefully I'll get through without creating some kind of mini disaster around me. Maybe it's the chaos before the end of the year, the stresses of work, family, Christmas, b'days, other commitments etc that all add up and get so out of perspective... we'll see, hopefully being organised a little more this year will help that for next year!!

But today was a more than good day... and I'm revelling in it and am thankful for it.

Until next time, take care of you.
