Joy

I have to admit, I'm a little bit proud of this LO... I struggle with all things Christmas, not sure why because I ADORE Christmas itself, but all the hoo haa prior to it just does me in... and scrapping it, I really need to be in the right mood. This one took me all day to get my head around it... I had all these cool embies to use, and only these old Basic Grey papers appealed, but they didn't 'match'... so I made them match LOL!!

I set the glittery swirls into some impasto and added some alcohol inks and mists once it was dried, melding it into the background paper... LOVE Impasto, it's my new favourite friend!!

I am thinking I might be over the Christmas Phobia now... because this was FUN!!

For all the info and GT stash I used pop over to my post on the Green Tara Blog HERE.

Thanks for visiting, take care and

Some-days it does...

Yep... some-days the creative streak WORKS, this one I had a ball with and I think it shows!

Vicki at Tomorrow's gave me some of the Creative Imaginations IOD Night Divine papers to work with and I fell in love with it. It's rare for me to love a Christmas range, I guess growing up where Christmas is about BBQ's and Pool Party's and there's no sign of snowmen, snow and reindeers led me to just not 'get' the usual Christmas ranges. This one is perfect though... gorgeous soft bordeaux tones, with cool greens and a touch of duck egg blue, no santa's or snow to be seen = perfection in my eyes! And with the angel in the corner... yeah I was sold!

So I thought on it all week, thinking of what photo to grab from years gone by... how to use the papers, researching what others had done {pretty much nothing nowhere} and then played... with a canvas LOL! I think that part was procrastination at first, get messy have fun, hope for the best... but it worked, it WANTED the canvas. And then I just played, trimmed this, cut there, added that... and it all worked and I am so pleased with it.

I have also used all kinds of Prima Flowers, Beaded Trim, Paper Doily, these weird bronze glitter stalky things that are the BEST things when cut up and used here an there, {Tomorrow's now have more of these in stock!} Dusty Attic Decorative Trim Set, Dusty Attic Word & Dusty Attic Chain Fence, Websters Silhouette and a ZVA Bling Flourish {ahhh my new FAVE's in the bling world, they are luxurious}.

This chippy has been inked and then splooshed and dabbed with Luminarte Daubers and Adirondack Dabbers and then sealed with UTEE.

So now I have {when it comes home to me one day}, a new Christmas Decoration! For now though it will grace the display at Tomorrow's Memories... which is almost the same, I get to see it every weekend and it will be in with other gorgeous Christmas displays before too long I'm sure. And maybe... just maybe I might get that Christmas Spirit afterall!

Take care of you.

Mojo is still running...

We were blessed with a lovely cool day today, so I've been able to scrap during the day. I am so thankful for today's beautiful cool change, tomorrow will be a hot one again, but at least we had today. Click on the pics for a closer view.

Kel starts High School tomorrow, a big change for us in our routines coming up and catching of public transport for Kel for the 1st time. He's so calm about it all, I'm the nervous wreck! I've taken this next week of work for any possible hiccups, so that he knows I'm at home for just in case. He's really so sensible about it all, making me feel like such a worry wart - I guess that's just what mum's do!

Today has been a wonderful day, beautiful weather tempering our moods I think. We've relaxed, done washing, played with our baby, had a surprise visit from a lovely friend we've not seen for a while and chilled watching TV... lots of giggles and lovin' - all good for the soul! The kind of day that reminds you of all the good things you have and which should not be taken for granted.

Until next time, take care of you.

I can't believe I've not said HAPPY NEW YEAR yet! My I have been neglectful, so much for organised...

OK... well I have done some scrapping:

and not much else! Christmas was quiet, as was New Year... fine by me, I don't need much hoopla these days! Most of my holiday days have been spent reading and playing with Coco, back to work tomorrow for me... the air-conditioning will be nice at least.

Not much more to really say right now, maybe later I'll be in a chatty mood!

Until next time, take care of you.

12 Days of Christmas @ 3AS

We have been busy little bees coming up with Christmas Ideas at 3 Angels Scrapping. Here's a few of mine:

Table Setting using scrapping stuff - so easy these days with diecut sheets and tags, rhinestones and stickers!

I have used Pink Paislee's Mistletoe & Co Range here, it's my fave range so far this season.

A Birthday Calendar using a Daily Calendar Holder - I've only been working on this for years, well had the idea in my head - it finally got finished on the weekend!

A gorgeous {and easy peasy} Diary which could easily be used to make a mini album or journal. Instructions for this are available at Storm Scraps, my dear friend Heather created the tutorial for it so say howdy when you pop in!

Papers for this one are Webster's Pages - so so stunning!

There's heaps of ideas happening, so if you want some Chrissy Gift or Decoration ideas, pop over to 3 Angels 12 Days of Christmas Gallery and have a see!

Until next time, take care of you.

More Christmas Treats @ 3AS

My last projects using the yummy Crate Paper North Pole Range! I have had fun with these...

Santa's Knee was created as a technique feature - mine being distressing, naturally! What I'm going to pull out of my hat next month I have no idea, LOL, might have to go learn something!! ;-) Click on the pic to go right to the gallery where I have the how to's and what's on it list. This is my favourite LO of mine for a long time... love it!

Xmas Kind of Day was created for the fun of it! A bit different than my usual style, but I had a lot of fun creating it, Kel loves it and there's something about it that I love as well... I think it could be the kid in the photo - even though he's pushing those boundaries as far as he can at the moment, I adore this child of mine, especially when I get the "I Love You" look! {Yes, he has me wrapped around his little finger...}

So... tomorrow, I set my 1st challenge at 3AS. Only a LOT excited about that... is that sad, I mean it's not like I haven't set a challenge before, but still that excitement factor is there! There's prizes up for grabs as well so come have a see what I set, have a play and you could win something yummy!! And I'm excited about our 12 Days of Christmas starting tomorrow... so much happening all at once, love love love it!!

Until next time, take care of you.
