I scrapped...

Finally it all came together... think I just needed a day with no distractions, plus some great photos to inspire me!

Today I spent the day at the Manning Ranch scrapping away... finished of one of them here at home but completed these 4 LO's!

Just a Bird...

This guy was at the Mt Glorious Cafe in Brissy. Vicki took me there on my last day in Brisbane and it was a perfect day. I have a double planned with all the pics from the restaurant but this guy I thought was gorgeous and needed his own LO! I've used a Lightroom Preset on the pic to give it this whimsical effect and it had to be scrapped!!

I have used: Chatterbox Bazzill, Jenni Bowlin PP, Anna Griffin Journaling Tag {be in the MaDs shop soon}, Prima Flowers, Bella Chipboard Flourish {thanks Jules}, Scenic Route Chipboard Alphas and as always heaps of Kaiser Rhinestones.

This Tree...

Well this is the tree I used to climb as a kid, and subsequently fall out of as a kid! When I was in Brisbane Vicki took me out to see the house where a did some growing up and I got this pic of the park around the corner... I was rapt it was still there after 28 years!! The memories that flooded back when I saw it... amazing!

I have used: Kraft, Making Memories PP {in the MaDs Shop soon}, Jenni Bowlin PP, Kaiser PP, Core'dinations Cardstock, Making Memories Journal Sheet & Glitter Box Shapes, Maya Road Chipboard Alphas and a chippy arrow from I forget where!!

Winter...

Simple but I like it! I was playing with the camera in the rain the other day and took this pic of the maidenhair fern that is climbling up the side wall, I just love it. Again, this one has a Lightroom Preset done, a vintage effect... love it!

Sooo for this one I have used: Core'dinations Cartstock, 7Gypsies PP, Bazzill, Maya Road Chipboard Alphas, Prima Flowers {on Pre-order for MaDs} and Basic Grey Buttons... oh and a 7 Gypsies Clear Stamp over the alphas.

Yes...

Yep... Yes... this one admits I'm a girly girl. Not that I've ever denied it... love being a girl! BUT, I can still change my own car tyre! I had a ball doing this LO, again the pic helped... even one of me! Yet again... another Lightroom Preset was applied to make me boootiful {my new addiction, god help me when my trial runs out!!}

I have used: Bazzill, Making Memories Diecut PP {soon into MaDs}, Autumn Leaves Diecut PP, Scenic Route Alphas, TwinkyDink {?} Chipboard Diecut Flower With Butterfly thing {sooo up with my product knowledge there}, Prima Flowers, Kaisser Rhinestones, Glitter!

So that's all... don't think I will get more done tonight... and tomorrow I have a new shop to play with... eeeek!! So will be head down bum up working on that! Wish I could take holidays so I could get it all done quicker... but can't, so will have to do a little each night and see how we go! If I've not finished by the time the transfer is due they'll put a sign up for me on the site so we don't all have to panic that I've vanished into cyber space... although, with me behind the scenes anything is possible... rofl!! And then when it goes live for you all to see there will be lots of new yummies in there!!! All the clearance items will be moved over but I will do this later, for now I will use it as an opportunity to get the inventory perfect again as the clearance section is HUGE and varied!!

Okies... so that's me! Have yourselves a lovely week, until next time... take care of you!!

Brrrr...

Bit nippy here in Perth at the moment, think it's about time the pot belly got fired up!!

Well I scrapped, as in scrapped and finished a LO... I have done little bits of scrapping but haven't managed to finish any of it! But the LO I did was at the SW Cyber Crop this weekend just gone... out of the 4 challenges I managed a whole 1.... rofl! But I did lots of things as well this weekend!

This is Vicki, me, KarenB and Donna after the Expo on Saturday night. We went to Kapsali Restaurant down at SouthBank and had a great night!

Anyways... back to my excuses for not scrapping much this weekend!

1st Kel and I went to Myer and bought ourselves a Wii finally! We've had such fun, and even Mr "Graphic Snob" Darren has joined in the fun. Getting a bit p'd that Kel keeps flogging me @ bowling though LOL!!!

Then we both went to Chrissie's house where her and Jules taught me lots of delicious techniques, was a lovely few hours and I even got my hands slightly dirty!! I have more to try and perfect as Jules lent me her precious technique book so have some fun ahead of me!

Saturday night was pizza and movie night... after much Wii playing! We had a great little family night... so nice having Dags home on the weekends again, even if I'm the one out all the time!

Sunday was a quiet morning... cold and rainy as. Lisa said she was bored so I thought that was a great excuse to go get the alcohol inks I wanted and go and have a girly lunch @ Hans Cafe... so there went the afternoon! Was a great arvo though, I really enjoyed myself chatting and relaxing! Booked in for a class as well, then discovered it was run by Jen, so at least I will know someone... and here I was thinking I was so brave booking a class without a 'friend' coming along... lol!!

Soooo... I have a busy few weeks coming up, have to swap the inline shop over as I said before. But am thinking of it as a fun thing and am hoping it all goes smoothly. New shop site is being built right now, should be finished soon but won't have it 'live' to the public until 1st July. Good excuse to get my inventory perfect though... !!!

What else is coming up... I feel like I'm in a real social whirl atm!! Next weekend is scrapping at Sharon's again, I'm doing a quick PSE tutorial for the girls... eeeek, means I best get some outlines done for them to take home. I'm off to Scrap-It next month with Sharon, Jules and Chrissie... so yeah, I'm getting out and about scrap wise!

Ok.. well that's about it for me today.... until next time, take care of you!!

Home!!

I'm home!!

My 5 days in Brissy were the best 5 days I think I've ever had!! Vicki is more gorgeous IRL than she was online... and those who know her online already know she's an angel! She was so much fun and has a wicked sense of humour, well one that really appeals to me for sure!!

Brisbane bought back floods of childhood memories, the names, the old Queenslander style homes, the mountains... everything!

The Expo was fantabulous!! Sooooo much to see and do. I did 2 classes, one with Ngaire which I enjoyed immensely... even dog tired it was so relaxing and easy paced! The other class I did was with Lynette Carroll and was full on, but I have a new found respect for K&Co stickers and diecuts etc so was a very worthwhile class!

The highlight of the Expo though was meeting Donna, KarenB, Penny and Joy... and also K4S and Hyperscrap from Scrapwitch who I've not chatted to much online but were lovely!! Donna is a little dynamo... lots of fun, straight down the line, gorgeous and a wee bit naughty... fun naughty though!! I'm glad her and I have sorted ourselves out and had a chance to meet IRL! KarenB is just as she is online, down to earth, interesting, funny as a fit... warm and caring. Penny, Penny was gorgeous as was Joy... you know it was amazing that everyone was as I've imagined them to be online... I think Penny and I could get up to a bit of mischeif though given the chance... lol!!

V and I went into Printblocks when we were there and I have to say, I was blown away by the calibre of their service! Even with the Expo looming they dropped everything to show us around, got us a trolley so we could fill it and simply couldn't do enough to help. So the trolley got well and truely filled and I had a suitcase full of yummies to bring back for the shop!

Came home to lots of yummy orders as well, took me all day to pack them, so that was a great turn of events. Shop is doing well... I'm in the process of hunting for a new shopping cart so MaDs shop is better for all of us to use. So I will have a very busy couple of weeks ahead of me while I swap it all over... but it will be worth it!

OK... have to fly... have a lovely day and take care of you!!

I finally managed to create something! Did my May ATC's for the ATC Club at SharonManning.com... woohooo!!

I like these ones... they are now at least starting to look like ATC's!! The theme was "Gentlemen" which really threw me, until I stumbled across Shakespeare's play "The Two Gentlemen of Verona" and went with that...

I have used my Cuttlebug to create the embossed background and rubbed over it with Rub'n'Buff in Spanish Copper and Gold, the pic {a painting of Valentine wooing Silvia, observed by the Duke, by Alfred Elmore} was found with thanks to Google {google is my friend} and altered in PSE to make the "Two Gentlemen" the feature, have also used German Scrap, Organza Ribbon and Flaked Metal Leaf!!
