Kaisercraft Design Team 2014 Entry

Hi everyone... I thought I'd give applying for the 2014 Kaisercraft Design Team a go this year.  I love their products, I use them all the time and they are my go to products for my classes at Tomorrow's Memories, so I thought I'd be crazy not to give it a whirl.  Each year the releases just get better and better, so I can't wait to see what else is coming up!

First I'd love to share with you some storage items I created.  I made the drawers last year and it sits on my desk side table and holds my favourite laces, ribbons, gauze and all those wonderful haberdashery items I like to use on my pages.  But since then I've created a money tin to save up pennies for scrap retreats and also decorated a simple beetroot tin which holds my coffee jar, which I use to clean my brushes, perfectly!   So now I have this fabulous matching set in my one of my all time favourite ranges - 75 Cents.

I can't quite bring myself to use the money box... to get the money out I'd have to destroy it, and it's too pretty to do that!  So it sits as a reminder to save save save! {Yeah, haven't mastered that either LOL}.

The water jar however gets used every time I scrap... it's even survived being accidentally washed!

Here's a simple card I created.  Usually my cards are about 3 inches thick and need to be wrapped like a gift.  This time I wanted to create something simpler so I could use some of the cute new sticker sheets Kaiser have produced for their pocket page scrapping.  The little sentiments on them are perfect not only for pocket page scrapping, but for cards too!

I used some Basecoat as the background, added some gesso and then stamped with one of Kaiser's very handy clear stamps.  Next I added some IceRink colour spray and let it dry.  Then I added some more gesso over the top in a very thin layer, just to add some subtle design and texture to the background.

And finally I have a layout to share with you, of my lovely god-daughter.  I have to admit I fell in love with this range the moment I saw it.  The stunning colours and patterns of the Kaleidoscope Collection truly has soooo much possibility! And the sticker sheets that match... perfection!

I love the butterflies sticker sheet... they are so happy, and a perfect size!

I've created little bouquets of flowers and a ruffle from some paper offcuts, added some stickers and cute little sparklets.  With so much colour and pattern, this is all that was needed to showcase this sweet whimsical photo of my girl.

Thanks for stopping by, wish me luck!  Until next time...
