Hello Beautiful Layout - Kaisercraft "Bow & Arrow"

I really enjoyed creating this layout using Kaisercraft's Bow and Arrow Collection!  This was one of my first forays into the 'messy background' style... and it was such fun!

I've used the diecut sheet as a stencil and have used ink as well as texture paste to create the chevron pattern in the background.  I next added some stamping, randomly done without using a stamping block, it creates an even more 'random' look which suits this style so well.

Loving that the Kaisercraft Paper Blooms always have a perfect colour to match their collections!

Thanks for stopping by!  I'll have more to share tomorrow...

The Perfect Day Card - Kaisercraft "Bow & Arrow"

In scheduling my next set of Kaisercraft projects {they were live on the Kaisercraft Blog last week} I've noticed I've forgotten to share my Bow and Arrow Projects! {Hi mum, here they are finally LOL}. So this first one is a card I've created, layering lots of cute papers and Collectables.

Cards were {are} not my forte, but I'm quite enjoying the process of making them now... especially adding all the layers!

I adored the colours and shapes in the Bow and Arrow Collection, and again it's one of those versatile ones that can be used for masculine and feminine creations, as well as covering different age groups!

I'll have another Bow and Arrow project to share with you this afternoon!

Be Happy Cards - Donna Salazar Designs

Hi everyone!  Today I have created a couple of cards to share with you, featuring my favourite Spellbinders Dies by Donna.

I have used Donna's Rose Creations, Wonderful Wings and Girlie Grunge Labels... these would be my favourite from Donna's fabulous collection!

I have inked the die plate with Patina Mix'd Media Inx and then used the embossing matt for the Be Happy Labels from the Girlie Grunge Label set, it's such a fun process!

I love the dual layers available with the Wonderful Wings Dies.

For this one I've used the Rose Creations and Wonderful Wings Dies again and also the Shadow Flowers which I find are perfect to created some background interest.

The flowers were touched with Clearsnap's Glue Gloss {if you haven't used this before you've simply got to try it... for adding glitter to precise spots it's just brilliant}, and then coated with Twinkle Dust Glitter.  Mixed Berries for this pink toned card and Sugar Shimmer for the aqua toned card.

Thanks for stopping by!  I hope you have like my cards today!

Until next time, take care!

Creative Kitty Layout - Donna Salazar Designs

Hi everyone!  Today I have a fun, messy style layout to share with you.   I'm playing around trying some new {to me} things and I really love the messy mixed media backgrounds that are becoming popular, but I still want to make them 'me'.

One way to keep things 'me' is to still incorporate my love of handmade elements and the fabulous texture of fabrics.  I'm loving the look so far!

Today I have used Donna's "Dear Sir" Stamp in the very background using Midnight Mix'd Media Inx Chox and made sure it was thoroughly dry {quick zap with a heat tool for the Chox and it's all good} before adding a very thin layer of gesso in random spots.  After this I've added pattern with a stencil using Texture Paste.  Once it all dried I had fun spraying SmoochSpritz inks and let them run!  I've used Caramel Latte SmoochSpritz and then to get the grey tone colour, I've mixed some Jasmine Mix'd Media Inx Re-inker, Water, WoodStain and IceRink SmoochSpritz to get a lighter tone.  For the ink 'splatters' I used Truffle Mix'd Media Ink Re-Inker with some water to create my own flat colour spray.

I've created a ruffle {yep, I'm still very much in love with my ruffles} and a Worn Rose using Donna's Rose Creations Die from Spellbinders.  You can find a tutorial link on my blog for the Worn Rose HERE.  I love these roses, they almost sit flat... well flat for me, but have such wonderful impact.  I'm not too sure what I'd do without Donn'a fabulous Flower Dies because nothing beats having your very own hand-made perfectly matched flower!
