A Moment of Peace - Green Tara

This has become a fave photo of myself... I look as happy as I felt.  Relaxed, refreshed, finding a moment of peace on some church steps while running around a very busy city!  The photo was taken on my iPhone and edited with picFX app, if you love camera apps, check that one out.  But what's even cooler... Harvey Norman's now print square format photos!  I'm not sure how long they've been doing that for but it was new to me and I was so excited to have a square pic to use!

So anyways... sorry I had to share and got off track, but now onto the really good stuff - Green Tara yummies!!

All my favourites all in a cluster {yeah I know, there's lots of favourites}!  Heirloom flowers, satin Swarovski Crystal flowers, cherry blossoms, roses, lace.. sigh, we really are spoiled for choice!

Oooh and a new favourite... look at that silver 'bling' trim!  Stunning, but would you believe it's actually just plastic, certainly had me looking twice.  It's brilliant, being plastic means its so easy to work with but it's not heavy on your page.

More pretty closeups... the new 4cm Heirloom flowers are so sweet.

The Swarovski Crystal centres add the perfect amount of sparkle...

Meeting my BFF - Green Tara

Meeting my BFF

I'm such a lucky girl... I finally got to meet one of my BFF's {beautiful fabulous friends}!  I talk to Natasha every single day, thank goodness for modern technology... but living a world apart means we'd never actually met, now we have and it just makes me love her all the more.

One thing we stupidly didn't do was get millions of photos together, but we did get a few and this is one of my favourites.

I used some lovely soft papers from Pion Design and found a wondrous assortment of matching Green Tara flowers for it.

I have used the beautiful Velvet Rose, sweet Sakura and my favourite, Heirloom, which also now comes in a 4cm size!!

Added some lovely scrolly Dusty Attic chipboard...

I used some of the new tulle to tie some bows to soften the clusters.  This tulle is so soft and fine, perfect for bow making!

One of the new 4cm Heirloom flowers, they are so cute!!

I love the Green Tara Lace range... I have tucked some in under the paper edge and used this fabuous one below as a feature strip.

[she's all] Aglow - Donna Salazar Designs

Hi everyone, today I have a layout I created for my team-mate Jessy to share with you all.  I was so excited to be given this photo from her, she's so adorable with her baby belly.

I have used layers and layers of papers here all either distressed, punched or both.  Botanique, Spring in Bloom and Antiquities all mixed in with each other, and they mix so well - another delight of Donna's paper ranges, they are easily mixed and matched!

I created a couple of roses to match the tones, using Donna's Rose Creations Die set from Spellbinders.  Then popped in some sweet paper and fabric flowers from Green Tara.

Some lovely lace... one was adhered to the page and then spritzed with CandleGlow and Tea Party Smooch Spritz to add texture while blending into the page and the other was left as is to add some contrast.

This bling flourish from Want to Scrap was the perfect colour for this layout.  I had to add a butterfly cut from a Spring in Bloom paper, I love butterflies!

The title was first painted white and then spritzed with CandleGlow and Tea Party Smooch Spritz and dried with a heat gun.  It was then coated with glue gloss and sprinkled with Sugar Shimmer Fairy Dust.  The glue gloss stick makes adding glue to just the right spot so easy!

I hope you like this Jessy, I really had the best fun creating it... it was one of those layouts that pretty much created itself, love those ones!

Yeah, sorry guys... I had to reinstate the word verication thingamebob on my comments because of all the spam that's coming through.  It's been ridiculous, and while blogger is wonderful and grabs it and throws it in the spam folder, I still see it and it annoys me!

I love getting comments {it always makes my day}... but I hate getting excited only to find its some silly spammer!!

[Such a Little] Cutie - Donna Salazar Designs

Hi everyone!  I have another layout to share using Donna's StoryBook papers... and I got to play with a baby photo!  This is my son Kel when he was just 9 months old, he was the cutest, cuddliest, happiest little boy... such a joy {then he grew up}!  Nah, joking... he still gives us such happiness!!

Okay... so the Story Book papers I have to admit were quite daunting for me when I first got my hands on them.  But I realised I am reaching for them every time I want to create a new layout and it's because of the fabulous texture images, cut outs, colours, hues that are perfectly 'Kel toned'... I LOVE them!!   This time I couldn't wait to cut out the "cotton ball" clouds, how CUTE are they.  I adore how Donna's playful style comes through so much in this range, you can't help but have fun creating with them.

I love {lotsa loving happening here today LOL}, Donna's Denim & Canvas Squares.  I know, 'go cut up a pair of jeans' you say... but these are thin enough to get through the Spellbinders dies with a few passes, some of my old jeans just won't cut through no matter how many times I put them through.

Donna's Alpha's are super cute... perfect for the funky fun of the StoryBook range.  I have the Dies as well, but I like to alter the chipboard with Mix'd Media Inx.  For these ones I used Denim and Honey, randomly dabbed on and then lightly misted with water.  Then I dried them with the heat gun, forcing the water and ink to pool and create this marbled effect!

My very favourite fabric right now is loose weave gauze... it ties into the cutest little bows!

I have had this flower for a while... just waiting for the right layout to use it on.  It's cut with Donna's Rose Creations Die from Denim and Canvas.  I coated the fabric while flat with Strano Ribbon Stiff, added a little Caramel Latte Smooch Spritz, formed the flower shape and patiently waited for it to dry.

That's all I have to share today... until next time, take care and be true to you!

Mis xo
