OK... some words would be good to put with these hey! Did a quick upload and then took off to the movies with Kel... as ya do!

Alrighty... been CC'ing @ ScrapWitch this weekend and for once managed to do 4 LO's, chat, sleep in, have nanna naps and entertain... WTG me!! LOL!! So here's the rundowns:

Bird Theme Challenge
1. Use the one of the following quotes as the theme for your page:
- "Birds of a feather flock together"
-"The early bird gets the worm" ~American Proverb
- "A bird does not sing because it has an answer. It sings because it has a song." ~Chinese Proverb
-"Use the talents you possess - for the woods would be a very silent place if no birds sang except for the best. " ~Henry Van Dyke

2. Use at least one bird/owl/feather embellishment on your LO. If you don't have anything in your stash, create a handmade one.

I used Autum Leaves French Twist PP, K&CO Addison PP, Jenni Bowlin Studios RubOns, Creative Imaginations Diecut PP, Autumn Leaves Stamp, Heidi Swapp Lemonade Stand Alphas. I think it looks a bit muddy, but I'm happy with it enough.

This one was Jill being evil!

Random PP/Quote/Triangle Challenge
1. Walk over to your PP stash. Close your eyes. Run your fingers back and forth over your stash. STOP!!! Open your eyes. The PP under your index finger is the one you're going to use on this LO. It can be a whole sheet, or just a scrap. Now choose your c/stock, photos & embies to suit.
2. Use this quote on your page.
"Sometimes the questions are complicated and the answers are simple."
3. Use at least 3 triangular embellishments on your page.

Of course I blindly chose the so NOT Mistra paper in the pack... the pink floral dimity print. So I scraplifted one of Penny Hackney's LO's because she uses this sweet paper so well! So I've doodled and hand cut and it took me hours!! My triangular embies were right outside of the square... I've made flowers with triangle shaped petals, done a triangle journaling area and used the triangle design rule for the placement of embellishments.

This one was a mini step by step... was fun and I really like the simplicity of it!

This one was a challenge in honour of Heath Ledger:

Heath Challenge
Create a scrapbooking LO that has:

H - Hook, hanger or holder
E - Edges (inked or torn)
A - Arrows
T - Tag or ticket
H - "Holiday" or "Healthy"...(use either word as a theme or in your page title)

I used the specifications to make a cover page for my holiday album. Here I've used Scenic Route Asheville PP's

This one I did during the week at the Scrapping Around Summer Camp... was a lot of online fun during the week, I didn't get many LO's done because of work and a back that was being naughty but I had fun chatting with the girls and playing 'pretend'.

We had to use a photo of ourself with tshirt, hat and sunscreen, blue or yellow cardstock background, geometric shapes and journaling in 2 positions. Again I have used Scenic Route Ashville! I think I have to admit that Scenic Route is fast becoming my Basic Grey for the 'old' reliable paper!!

Cyber Scrapping!

I joined in on the cyber crop at Scrapping Around, it's always an easy going pace with great challenges so suits me just fine!! I've done far more than I thought I would though, have done a lot of hours scrapping, but somehow still had time to play some games with Kel, do the dishes and get some washing done... been a full weekend!!

Anyway... 1st here is an altered DVD case, with an index book to slot inside. I'll be putting my pics from last year onto DVD and storing them, makes for a pretty storage!!

This one was for an old and new challenge. Using old product with new... so finally I got to use some of my old papers that I've had for years!!

Now this was FUN!! Jac set a "garbage" challenge... aka Emphera. So I ratted through my recycle bin and got pizza vouchers, corrugated board, freight barcode, bit of cork sheeting and a tag that was getting thrown out because it was torn! Kel looks deformed but if you take a closer look he's got pepperoni tucked in to use as fangs!! He's a boy... I don't think I need to say more!!

Then I made this little storage tin with an old Eclipse Mint Tin, a black jewel I found on the floor and some lady beetles that I took off something ages ago for a 'just in case' moment! I really love it... grungy and simple! Am going to make some more and use different colours and store buttons in them!

This was from Karen's challenge... to scrap about something New you've learnt so far this year, I did the realisation that housework is never going to go away!! Obviously we all know it never does but the realisation that it's forever... was too much!!

And this one is the sketch challenge... which of course bears very little resemblance to the sketch! LOL... no it does, same general placement of the elements!

And here's our gorgeous girl... she's growing so fast. We had to use the quote "Time is not measured by clocks but by moments". Was fitting to use on a LO of Courtney as we get but moments with her in the scheme of things... but we remember those moments and not the small about of time that we have her with us!!

So that's the weekends work... back to the grindstone tomorrow, as in work work! But... gotta earn a living somehow!!

Some more to share...

These are for a Christmas Holidays album. I'm fitting all the things we do during the holidays into one 'not so' mini album. The album is going to be 6x12" landscape format, just to be different. Layouts are mounted to chipboard to make them nice and sturdy. These are the ones I've done today. Click on them to get a bigger, clearer image if you desire.

I have used: Been There Done That {reverse of sheet}, Kaiser PP, Scenic Route {Blue Grid Background}, Making Memories Journal Sheet {Noteworthy... I'm finding these REALLY handy}, Basic Grey Elbow & Wilma Chipboard Alphas, Scrapware Label Holder, Decorative Brads {sorry, don't know who they are by}.

Here I have used: Bazzill, WeR White Out Papers {Explore - Journey}, Kaiser Wooden Scroll, Heidi Swapp Lemonade Stand Alphas, Colorbox Chalk Inks, Ribbon.

Happy New Year!!

I hope 2008 is filled with lots of love, joy and laughter for you all!!

I've started the year slowly... eased it in nice and calmly. Hopefully the rest of the year follows suit! I can say I'm glad to see the back of 2007, however, even though it held a lot of really low {really really low} times... they made the good times even better and I treasure those moments!

The highlights... meeting Jacqueline, KarenM & Jill in Melbourne... Boxx Retreat {as always, even though we were sick, exhausted and having breakdowns, lol and that was just me... it's always good to have GIRL time}... Scrappi Dais with the girls... winning For Keeps Everyday Moments Comp... venturing out of my comfort zone and making some new friends at The Scrapbook Shop... my promotion at work... Darren becoming "Darren" again... and rediscovering 'quality' family time and truely putting family first - which is the icing on the cake. So with all that... I consider myself one lucky and very blessed woman.

So... scrapping. Yep, done almost none! Doesn't matter, I wasn't worried. For once I was making some memories instead of scrapping them.

I did some tonight though... woohoo!! Work was slow, all my loose ends had been tied, so I got to really relax for the first time in 6 months. So I planned some LO's at work, came home and started scrapping!

I decided to join in the What Makes Me... Me? project at Scrapping Around, it's been years since I've done a Book of Me thing, and I have changed so much in the last few years with goals, likes, priorities etc. so I thought it would be a good voyage. Moni will be posting a new theme each 2 weeks, the first being Fave Colour. I've decided to do 12x6" pages for something different, although most will be double pages which equates back to a 12x12" anyway... lol!! I'm mounting the pages to chipboard and will be binding the book with rings and/or ribbons when it's done, so it will be nice and sturdy.

So here's my title page... based on one of Becky Flecks Half PageMaps.
Here I have used {just in case anyone is interested}: Bazzill, CherryArte {Morocco - Spicey Notes}, Basic Grey {Perhaps - Daphne}, Pressed Petals Chip Chatter Gellies Alphas

And here's my double 12x6" LO on my Fave Colour. It took me 2 days to settle on a colour. I love them all... all the hot, bold, bright colours as well as the earthy tones. How to choose! In the end I went with pink. Pink is always happy, I like each shade and hue of it whereas with the other colours I'm drawn to I generally dislike the paler and/or darker shades of them. Pink however... if I received anything that was pink it would generally be a hit in my "I like" stakes, so figured that works for me!

I have used: Bazzill, Junkitz {Salsa Celebration - Fireworks Black Reverse}, Jenni Bowlin {Spring Picnic - Pink Branch}, Prima Quick Picks {Petal Poetry}, Prima Fun Felt {Venti Daisy}, Doodlebug Silk Flowers {Bubblegum}, Making Memories Journal Sheet {Noteworthy}, Heidi Swapp Centre of Attention Alphas, Kaiser Rhinestones, Love You More Gem Brads, Decorative Ribbon {The stunning decorative ribbon is from my SnC SS Jen... isn't it gorgeous!!} and lots of images from throughout the internet to make the PINK themed photo!

OK... off to bed for me!! {See Lisa... as I said... nothing to say, quiet as a mouse as always I am... lol}

Take care of you!
