Inspired by...

Michelle Grant's take on Anna Debrowska Pekocka's amazing style...

Which ended up very much more like Anna's with a bit of me thrown in!  But if it wasn't for Michelle giving it a go 1st and then holding my 'hand' via SMS on Friday night I don't think I could have done it!!  That step of trusting the spray was a hard hard hard one!!  But I love it, so thank you both!!  Oh and yeah, another Twilight photo... but this was supposed to be a 'trial' run so I wasn't worried that I'd already scrapped it.

I have been very evil and set this as a challenge for April over at Red Earth Scrapping... obviously no-one has to go as heavy handed with the spray as I did, but I think it's a great thing to try and push your boundaries!!  I know I am seeing glimmermist in a whole new light now!

So a quick run down on how I did it:
  1. I created the Layout, left all the chipboard raw and just grabbed some old buttons, lace trim offcuts and glued it all down.
  2. Next I covered the photo with some card and then sprayed my 1st layer of Glimmermist, I used Walnut Gold & Suede.  I wiped the spray off the resist areas, dried it all off and then added some Denim Blue in patches, dried this off and then added another coated of Suede.
  3. Once all dried again, I dry brushed with white acrylic paint over the textured areas and part of the layout/photo to add definition {Anna & Michelle used gesso but I couldn't get the lid off mine LOL}.
  4. The paper curled a bit, but thanks to Michelle's instructions I was ready for this and I mounted it to cardstock afterwards to help it flatten out.
I have used Pink Paislee Parisian Anthology paper {because I'm too lazy to stamp my own resist images like Michelle did LOL}, Dusty Attic Cogs, Skeleton Clock and Flower Layers, some vintage buttons and crochet trim.

Thanks Michelle for the encouragement... and the SMS giggles afterwards, teenagers!!

I took this into Tomorrow's Memories for show and tell yesterday, it didn't get to come home with me... I can't even blame Vicki for snaffling this one, Sonya ran off with it!!

Take care of you.
