Tea for Two Class with Finnabair

Last Saturday, I got to meet and play with Finnabair... such a wonderful talent!  What made it better was she's so 'real', down to earth and really easy to approach and talk to.  Tomorrow's Memories hosted 2 classes with her, this is my layout from one of them... I adore it, totally!  It's got all her techniques with 'me' thrown in there, and that's the beauty of her teaching style, you create your OWN layout, not a copy of hers.  It was truly an honour to learn from her and I know I'll use the little snippets I picked up again and again.

My favourite quote from her was actually one I use - "more is more"... and if you think you might have enough, add more again LOL, love it!

Another brilliant thing is she's not all "about the product"... it's obvious when she's passionate about something she is using, but she encourages you to create your own embellishments, alter things you buy to create your own, grab bits of trinkets and put them together, mix up your substrates... I just LOVE the feeling of freedom she offers.

So what did I learn... quite a few little things that will add just that little bit extra to my creations {I hope} in the future, most importantly I learned how I can load up my page with all the things I love and yet still create that feeling of space, even fit in some journalling if inclined.  But you know, so what if I don't... for me scrapping is also about having some fun, and creating this way was FUN!!

Sigh... I just love these grungy clusters.   Really hoping to try for a girly girl version of the same techniques, wish me luck!
