Flooded Canvas

Here's my flooded canvas from my class today with Linda Baldock, what a woman... I wish we didn't have to let her go home, would so love to spend more time with her! My 1st canvas with her is still under construction, it looked somewhat like an exploded cupcake, which for an art piece about exploded cupcakes would have been fine... for old world time, not so good! But this one... this one I LOVE!! I guess like most things for me... I learn, take away... get comfortable and then do my own thing, this 2nd time around I was far more relaxed... and it shows I think {even with the big bling swirl that I HAD to add... because I tragically love the stuff}.

So I've called this one L,S,D {Lucy, Sky, Diamonds}... yeah cliche but I like!

I also made this one at a play and create night at Linda's mum's house... nice eh!! It's on my 'crocheted by me' hat... poor hat needed some sort of class!! If you want a chance to win a Linda Original Handmade Bloom Ring, then pop on over to her blog here, and follow the instructions!!

Andddd... I made an awesome clock at Tomorrow's Memories with Evana, delish big Dusty Attic one. Just need to add the clock mechanism and get a decent shot, but it's dark now so you'll just have to drool over the Linda Art until I get that done.

So that's me... best go spend some time with the boys so they remember who I am! I've had an amazing weekend and am really feeling it now, had a major headache all day, one trying to be a migraine but it's not allowed, nope... too much to do!! I think a very early night is on the cards!

Take care of you.

Time Flies...

when you're having fun!

And having fun is what I hope we'll all have at my very first class at Tomorrow's Memories in July!

This is what I have created, a "Time Flies" Canvas and we get to be messy with all paints, pearlex, inks and UTEE using delicious Dusty Attic Chipboard!

I'll show you how to use paints to create wonderful texture and how to create fabulous deep shimmering colour on your chipboard.

If you want to come and play with me, call Tomorrow's Memories on 9279 2183 to book your spot. The class is on Saturday 10th July at 1pm... hope to see you there!!

Take care of you.

Armatt...

the angel for Truth, Goodness & Wisdom... an angel for those seeking Harmony.

Mmmm... she's yummy {and yes Armatt is a girl angel, there's not many but there's some}. I had her in my head since I created the Collections sample last weekend for Tomorrow's Memories, so when all the new stock came in I grabbed more stuff to play... and so Armatt was created. Although as always she created herself because my vision has far more white in there... I think Armatt chose well!

Now why can't my layouts look this delicious!

Take care of you.

Don't Cage Her...

and he doesn't... I get to flitter here and there like a little social butterfly, well so it seems this month! Hoping for a quieter June!

Here is some more Dusty goodness... {see DUST is good!!}

I love cages and birds, but not birds in cages... empty cages I like, the symbolism of not being trapped. I'm lucky to have that in my life...

Dusty Products used: Bird Cage #4, New Shadowbox, Songbird

I have also used Webster's Pages, Prima Flowers and Bling, Tim Holtz Distress Crackle & Distress Stickles, Making Memories Acrylic Paint, Moonglow Stains, Rub'n'Buff.

Take care of you.

Hmmm...

You know... a weekend has gone by and I have nothing creative to show you, that feels odd!! So how about some pics from the weekend:

Kel, with his favourite food on the planet - PIE!!

James St Antique Strip, Guildford

Silly Dove, our backyard.

My Coco Bunny... she's all growned up!!

I did create last weekend, I did my sample for my upcoming 1st class at Tomorrow's Memories on 10th July... it looks good... but I can't show you {LOL... yes Tina, there I did it - the "I can't show you" clause}! But it's at TM's if you want to pop in and see!! Tina was my guinea pig and we ran through it together so I could work out how long, what to say, see if we both stuffed up in the wrong spots so I could find outs to fix it... get a wee bit of teaching practice happening, was fun!! I made a sample for Tomorrow's Memories with the new Collections yummies... I'm really happy with my creation, but forgot to take a pic before I gave it to the shop... doh! And I've made a Dusty Attic yummy as well but it just needs a bird to be finished and I don't have the right bird yet. So all this creativity and no pics... sacriledge I reckon!

This weekend I should have Linda learned stuff to show you... woohooo, 'citing!!

Take care of you.

Remember [always fly home]

I don't know why I am loving these so much, reverse canvas', shadow boxes... sweet little collages with lots of pretties... really, these are going to be a dusting nightmare {thank goodness for cans of compressed air}... but I LOVE creating them. Darren is going to put a shelf up on my scrapbook wall for them all, then I'll be surrounded by all these gorgeous dioramas! I guess it's my way of creating things just for me, something that doesn't get put into an album and something I can see around me and inspire me... and of course they are a perfect showcase for Dusty Attic yummies!!

I have used the rectangular shadow box and turned it up on it's end, teamed up with some of the picket fence border, one of the mini words and the gorgeous French Window Pane {complete with curtains of course}... oh and we can't forget the sweetest little Sparrow who few home like a good little hatching should!

The paper somewhere in the background there is Prima, flowers are by Petaloo or handmade by me using Prima Papers and Text sheets. The frame of the Shadow Box was painted and crackled using Tim Holtz Distress Crackle, then attacked with more paint, UTEE and Tim Holtz Distress Stickles.

Dream

Mmmm love this kind of Dust!! Love this pic of Kel as well, I love that he lets me take photos freely again... I think he's confident that I won't make him look too dorky in them {sometimes LOL}.

Here I've used another Dusty Attic Tribal design, really love these... need more! They are perfect for teen boy pages, Kel loves them! Dusty also make these cute little words, just the right size for a small title, part of a larger title or even a sub-title, loving them!

The papers here are BoBunny Mama-Razzi, a range I have fallen in love with and definitely need to get more of before they vanish forever, just my colours and style!!

Together...

Another LO of this pic of Kel and I... I love changing the look of photos, gives me more opportunities to scrap the same pic - plus my reasoning is to have a LO for Kel's album and a LO for our general album!

This is another LO for Dusty Attic, this one using the stunning Scroll {one of my faves} and one of the cute words {these make finding a title too easy!}

The crochet pieces are the ones I got the other day from here, couldn't wait to get them on a page!

Take care of you.
