Only because I've already been shopping LOL... but while blog surfing at lunch time today, I found the most divine embellishments on one of Natasha's layouts, and clever as she is, she even left a link so we can find these embellishments!

Are they not the most beautiful embellishments!!

So I have been shopping and bought butterflies and vines and stick pins... sigh, delight!!   I so can't wait to get them, I have to wait for them to come from the states so it will be a while... but I had to have them!!

365 continues...

Still going... happy about that!  There's a few days I've missed, they'll obviously be the ones where I've been flat out at work and come home exhausted.  But that's part of my life... tells it's own story in it's visual silence.

365 - 2011

OK... so I've decided to finally have a go at this 365 Photo's thing, if nothing but to get me using the darn camera more often!  They are going to be random pics, just things that have happened to me or my family each day, will be a good thing - a simple way of recording the everyday!

Here's the start:

 

The brushes are by Ali Edwards {and the Postmark one by Kate Pertiet}, these ones were designed by Ali for this purpose, and she has made them SO easy.  If you want them, or similar I downloaded mine from DesignerDigitals, there are soooooo many overlays to choose from!

So wish me luck... the job has been made easy for me, so hopefully that helps!

Finally was able to get another layout completed using the Cosmo Cricket Circa 1934 papers that Helen sent me [last year... yikes, and yet she still loves me], this time I decided to use this months sketch from Stuck?! Sketches as well.  Red Earth Scrapping is a sponsor of this wonderful sketch blog, why not check them out!  One of the monthly challenges at Red is always one of the Stuck?! sketches, giving you 2 chances to win something special if you create and then load to both Red & Stuck?!, sweet deal hey!

So anyways... it's simply styled, but the paper doesn't need much, actually I HAVE to get more of the damasky/doily background one, it's my fave from the range and it packs a punch!

I love these pics of Kel... posing for me in his new hat, mainly I just love that's he's happy to muck around in front of the camera for me.  So I have heaps of these printed, with different preset filters, and some plain ones... they'll keep me in boy pics for a while! 

Kel turned 14 yesterday... how on earth did that happen, that I have a 14yo in the house, scary times ahead as we wait for the inevitable puberty to kick in, but we might have another year of peace yet!

Scrapping teen boys I find so much harder than girls... feminine LO's are easy: flowers, bling, lace, pretties - heaps of things to fill and decorate and play with.  But boys, there's just not much out there - well TEEN boy stuff that is.  This kid would never pose for me again if I stuck a dinosaur chippy or something on there and heaven forbid I use a flower!  Cogs are 'allowed' as are the Tribal Swirls... stars I can get away with, but I struggle with finding other things.  Thank goodness for Dusty Attic though - all sorts of Cogs, Tribal Swirls {my teen boy godsend}, barb wire, chicken wire, fences, fleur de lis, chains, skulls... Jen has sure made scrapping my finicky teen so much easier!
