All things are possible...

...in the land of Faerie!

I love this Dusty Attic Garden Fairy DA0278... last night I wanted to play with something but had no photos that were working for me, but she called to me to be created!
I have to admit, before I went to bed last night she looked like a dodgy fairy, but there must have been some magic in the air last night because this morning she was gorgeous... and so a canvas needed to be created!

The Canvas background is mixed media, using paper offcuts and tissue paper, all glued down and then tinted with paints and mists... then a little impasto to create texture, gesso and then more mists.  I have used Glimmermists as well as Starburst Stains on this one.  The Starburst Stains have that amazing glimmer!!

These Dusty Attic Leafy Stems #3 DA0580 above and Russian Alphabet DA0522 below were both painted white, dabbed with aqua paint, spritzed with Moonshadow Pirate's Plunder Gold and then coated with dimensional magic and sprinkled with mica flakes!

The gorgeous Dusty Attic Garden Fairy was painted white first and then with Golden Titan Buff for the skin tones, Golden Raw Umber for the hair {and left thick for texture}, and with Moonglow Glitz Spritz Desert Moon Horny Toad Teal {how's that for a name}, it gave her freckles!  Her wings were 'smooched' with Smooch {by Clearnsnap} Ocean Soul, Frosted Aqua & a little Habby Pink, and lastly were backed with Textiva Fusible Film.   She was then dressed in lovely soft muslin and draped in ZVA Bling!

The canvas was trimmed with some delicious Green Tara Lace L2898OW and was coloured with the same mists used over the canvas... love this lace!!

She will look beautiful on the wall in my new scrap room {if it ever gets finished}... she's for me, all mine!!

Thanks for visiting, take care and

But wait... there's more!

Prima... sigh!

I do have to admit, some of the new Prima paper releases didn't appeal to me, while very sweet and cute they were so not what I could use and I was so worried that there'd be nothing for me this CHA release, because I do love my Prima!! And then there was Fairy Flora... and life was good again.

How sweet it this range!! Not quite my usual colours, but the mottled backgrounds and the flowers and the colours all blending together were highly appealing... and so I was RAPT when Helen @ Red Earth sent me these to play with this month, and I had JUST the photo as well, my mum's friends daughter Lilly.

I have used: Prima Fairy Flora {Fairy Flora & Garden Party} PP, Prima Fairy Flora Pebbles, Prima Fairy Flora Notecard, Prima Fairy Flora Flowers {Solids}, Prima Craftable Flowers, AC Thickers {Dear Lizzie Bliss}, Dusty Attic Chipboard {Skeleton Clock Face, Leafy Stems and Flowers}, Generic paper doily.

Again the chippies have been inked and then coloured with Adirondack Paint Dabbers and sealed with UTEE, the Clock and Flowers were also backed with Fusible Film. The Doily was painted with some Tattered Angels Glimmer Glam, I love the glitter!!

Take care of you.

What happens when...

you combine Dusty Attic with Pagemaps?

An uber AWESOME August Pagemaps feature!! Seriously... us Dustettes rock!

Here's some of the closeups... pop on over to Pagemaps and have a look at what the rest of the Dusty Attic team created... it's a visual feast for the eyes!

I had an absolute ball creating this... it's one of my pride and joys. Working with the 8.5x11 Double was also fabulous... might do a few more at this size now.

Take care of you.

Kellan... again!

LOL... lots of Kel for once, poor child has been neglected scrap wise lately in my need for girly and MORE on a LO... but the break has done me well I think, I've had the best fun creating boy themed LO's!

So I have my Dusty Attic hat on now LOL! This is a simple clean one. I kept trying to add more too it, but I like the simplicity... like having that Dusty Attic Skeleton Clock standing out and framing the pic.

I have used some 7 Gypsies Paper {this one is available at Tomorrow's Memories}, and Dusty Attic Mini Fleur de Lis, Skeleton Clock Face {from their new release} and a couple of custom cut pieces. I loved the the Mini Fleur de Lis fitted in beautifully with the PP!!

I have used various techniques here... all involving inks, distress paints, UTEE, Glimmer Mists etc. The Skeleton Clock has some Fusible Film applied to the reverse to create the holographic coloured effect, I am LOVING using the Fusible Film under these clock faces, match made in Mistra heaven!

If you're hunting down some Dusty Attic goodness, Dusty Attic have a retailers list on their Ning site here. If you are having trouble trying to find some internationally, nag your favourite scrap shop to contact Dusty!! Also remember that a lot of the Australian stores will ship internationally as well, just pop them an email and see what they can arrange for you.

Take care of you.

My Scrap Haven

Fueled with NEW Dusty Attic yummies, a Dusty Attic Challenge and an awesome colour palette and sketch from The Color Room, I created:

I'm so happy with the combination... and am so rapt that I've had a chance to play with some very delicious brights, it's not often that I am comfortable with them... but I think that is changing!

The Dusty Challenge is to "Scrap your Scrap Space"... grab some Dusty and play along because you could not only win a pack of the NEW Dusty, but can also win the opportunity to have a layout created just for you by one of Dusty's uber talented ladies: Steph Devlin, Trina McClune or Michelle Grant!! Comp ends 31st July... so get creating!!

Take care of you.
