Change

"If you put in the effort you will see change".   One of the many motivational posters I have pinned lately on Pinterest.  I've been putting in the effort, and finally am seeing some change!!  So time to celebrate with a Layout!

And what better way than to celebrate with some of my very favourite papers... Antiquities by Donna Salazar for GCD.  Still loving the soft girly grunge of these!

 All my favourite things as well... ZVA Bling, Dodgy Flowers, Green Tara Roses and Sprays, Crochet Lace Trim and as always, Dusty Attic Chipboard!

Techniques:  The chipboard was painted in warm white acrylic paint, then dabbed with some Tim Holtz Vintage Photo Distress Stain and blended with a nappy wipe.  Next it was dunked into LSG Cotton Candy Pink Color Shot, dried off and dabbed with LSG Cajun Carnelian Red.  White still wet it was spritzed with a shimmer spritz and dried.   The spritz over the top activates all the colours and they blend and pool together, love this look!

Products used:
Dusty Attic Foliage DA0506
Antiquities by Donna Salazar Papers - Harmony & Let's Ride
ZVA Bling Flourish
Prima Crochet Trim
Green Tara Roses & Silver Sprays
Kaiser Blooms
Basic Grey Life of the Party Micro Mono Stickers
Carolee's Adorn It Alpha Stickers, Burlap Rust

Finishes:
  • Lindy's Stamp Gang Starburst Color Shots {Cotton Candy Pink, Cajun Carnelian Red}
  • Tim Holtz Distress Stain {Vintage Photo}
  • Tsukineko Sheer Shimmer Spritz {Sparkle}
  • Jo Sonya Warm White Acrylic Paint

This weekend just gone I left the boys all alone and went on a retreat with Jules, Chrissie and Lisa with the ChookScraps girls. Really... I don't think I could have scrapped with a more gorgeous bunch of women. It was a truly wonderful weekend full of sharing, laughter, food {GREAT food}, more giggles... a good weekend. And amongst all that... I even created!

So today I am recovering! I have booked in Darren's car to get the radiator looked at tomorrow {he has the keys today so can't run it up there for a quick see today, derr}... so hopefully we can get that fixed tomorrow as well, even more hoping it doesn't cost us a small fortune.

Take care of you.

Playing...

Last night I made some new dodgy flowers, I love these. Very vintagey, like old fashioned roses.

I found them while drooling over one of my favourite blogs Such A Pretty Mess, the tutorial for them is here. Gabrielle's are much more 'pretty' than mine, I have such a heavy grungey hand... but I am loving them and getting the hang of making them look faux real! Can't wait to make more and use them on something!

Take care of you.

Prima'licious... designs for 3AS

Yumola... this month I'm only about 2 weeks behind, ooops! But I am up to date now with my DT projects!

I love LOVE love these Prima Tropics Collection papers, even though the colours aren't quite in my comfort zone, the patterns and the worn look is... and I had a ball working with them!

Take care of you.

More 3AS CC Layouts

and I kept creating... so happy I found some mojo I was happy with. Now I just have to lend it to Josie tomorrow, but only for a day! LOL

My Card Challenge
{LOL, yeah, the cardly challenged set a card challenge}

I had fun creating, the challenges were just great! There's one more to do, Susan's Embellishment Challenge, but as I said - I had to pack my mojo up to send off to Josie.

I spent the arvo driving out to the Spud Shed, got a lot of groceries for only $100 - hopefully enough to last us the week, hard living atm but ya gotta do what ya gotta do. Then watched UP on Box Office, talk about sob... and then watched Benjamin Buttons... more sobbing. I was sobbing so much I couldn't breathe out of my nose for about an hour!

So... that's the weekend gone again, darn things fly by so quickly.

Take care of you.

Some Cards for Valentines Day

These are my cards I created last week for 3 Angels Scrapping... I love them, I just love how sometimes everything falls together and 'works' for you!

Hope those who celebrate Valentines have a 'loving' day. We don't but I'm sure I can use it as an excuse to get some chocolate happening in the groceries today LOL!!

Until next time, take care of you.

Time flies...

I don't think I have ever seen a month run past me so quickly! It's a shock to me that February is only a day away, where did January go?

I've managed some LO's. I was thinking I've not done many, but there's quite a few here! I think the problem is I've had so much free time... but have done nothing with it. Well if you call keeping house, spending time with the boys and running around after a wild puppy nothing! I've managed to socialise with friends, even had some over here... but have felt a little 'out of it', on the outskirts of things if that makes any sense. LOL probably not... when do I ever make sense! But today I feel lighter... maybe because I scrapped 6 LO's in 1 day and the mojo was flowing well, it's definitely a kind of therapy!

January & February I have discovered in reflection are usually quite self-destructive months for me, no idea why... so this year, no big choices or decisions are being made until March, maybe April! I'm just sitting back and taking each day as it comes and hopefully I'll get through without creating some kind of mini disaster around me. Maybe it's the chaos before the end of the year, the stresses of work, family, Christmas, b'days, other commitments etc that all add up and get so out of perspective... we'll see, hopefully being organised a little more this year will help that for next year!!

But today was a more than good day... and I'm revelling in it and am thankful for it.

Until next time, take care of you.
