Take the Time - Australian Scrapbook Ideas #20

This is the last layout for Issue #20 of Australian Scrapbook Ideas... this is my gorgeous sister.  You'd never meet someone with a more beautiful soul than hers.  This photo was taken at Christmas and I've added some meaningful words for the time, it's a bittersweet time... even more-so now.  She was going through perhaps the hardest thing anyone ever should go through, and amazing as she is she gave it her everything.  But to do that, you have to 'come home to yourself' as much as you can... you need to keep that so that you can continue giving.    Love you Nev!!

I used gorgeous peach and orange tones to offset the fabulous aqua/teal in the wood pattern of the "Elegant" paper from Donna Salazar's Botanique collection.

Sweet Green Tara Flowers... I love the 'floppy' Pincushion flower, it's soft and gentle on a page and so very versatile.

Cute little Antique Brass Charms from Handmade Halo... the clock for taking 'time' and the bee is symbolic of my sister, her first little tattoo was a cute little bee.  Charms are fabulous tools for helping emphasise more of the story on your layout.

Love this fabulous chippy piece from Dusty Attic, love the way it flows and accents the page without being visually heavy.

A gorgeous little find from Handmade Halo, nestled under a cluster of Green Tara flowers... love perfect little finds like that, they add so much understated elegance to a page!

Thanks again for stopping by... I'll have more to share with you soon!

You can find the full materials list and step by step instructions for this layout in Issue #20 of Australian Scrapbook Ideas.

  2. Your pages are always fabulous Mistra, I must do a class one day and learn how to do that wonderful shading; a lovely page for your sister.
